1. Qualify
- 5 Qualifying Series
- Complete at least 4
- Best 4 scores count
2. Points
- 400 points per series
- Up to 1,600 base points
- Complete all 5: +100 bonus
- Maximum: 1,700 points
3. Divisions
Individual Series
1D 301–400 • 2D 201–300 • 3D 200 & below
Overall
1D 1,201+ • 2D 801–1,200 • 3D 800 & below
5. Important
- Unlimited paid re-entries before deadlines
- Only the highest score per series counts
- Registered rider must complete all submissions
- Different horses are allowed
- Horse welfare & sportsmanship required
4. Awards
- Individual Series D winners: each win a buckle (15 total)
- Overall D champions: each win a buckle (3 total)
- All 3 overall champions enter the random drawing: 1 wins the custom saddle

Train. Improve. Compete. Earn your way to the saddle. Below are the official rules governing the Road to the Saddle program, individual series scoring, overall standings, and year-end awards.
Three divisions, three buckles, one saddle.
Complete at least 4 of 5 series. Best 4 scores count.
Complete all 5 series = +100 bonus points.
Overall D spread: 400 pts. Individual series D spread: 100 pts.
Redo any series. Only your highest score counts.
Each series is its own competition with its own awards.
3 Overall Champions → random drawing → 1 saddle.
Ties broken by comparing highest counted series scores.
Rider must complete submissions; minors allowed with guardian.
Submit on time. Clerical errors may be corrected; judging is final.
Horse welfare comes before points, standings, awards, or prizes.
Use official support channels — no private contact with Shannon.

Any material change affecting the competition will be communicated to participants. Rules will not be changed for the purpose of favoring a particular participant.
